Pinch valve
The model 910 valve is a high-flow, pneumatically operated pinch valve
that features the ability to close plastic or elastomeric tubes with outside
diameters up to 1/2-in. and inside diameters up to 7/16-in. According to
the company, this ability to handle plastic tubes is unique. These materials,
when combined with a pinch valve's straight thru flow and zero holdout,
extends the 910's range of application into areas where this type of valve
would not normally be considered. These areas include applications where
chemical inertness, sterility, resistance to high temperatures and high
flow are required. It also features an adjustable, lockable control to set
the flow rate and the amount of tube closure. Tridak, 1120 Federal
Rd, Brookfield, CT 06804. 800-289-8735. Circle 635.
3-way valve. Pressure-
or vacuum-piloted 3-way valves feature adjustable pilot set points. Normally
open or normally closed valves are available. Four mounting styles are available,
including flush mount, manifold mount, pipe thread and panel mount. Pilot
adjustment ranges from 0.5 to 100 psi or 1- to 28-in. Hg. The valves also
have maximum signal pressure of 100 psi or 29.9-in. Hg. Air Logic, 5102
Douglas Ave, Racine, WI 53402-2097. 800-558-5950. Circle 638.
Heated valve. The
jalapeno series heated vacuum valves can reach a minimum internal temperature
of 150°C. These VacuComp poppet-style valves are for use in semiconductor
processes, where production byproducts can build-up. The build up would
interfere with the operation of conventional valves. By heating the valve,
the internal temperature is elevated, leaving the byproducts in gaseous
form. MKS Instruments, 5330 Sterling Dr, Boulder, CO 80301. 800-345-1967.

Proportional valve controllers.
A line of electronic controllers for hydraulic proportional valves provide
optimal valve performance in a variety of applications. All three units
are designed to be operated with an external potentiometer or another voltage
source in 9-28 VDC systems. The panel-mount unit can also be operated with
a 0 to 20 mA current input. The coil-mount units are rated for IP65 weather
resistance. HydraForce Inc, 500 Barclay Blvd, Lincolnshire, IL 60069.

Shut off valve. The
Tube-O-Matic valve is designed to include the features of the pinch valve.
According to the company, the Tube-O-Matic does not collapse entirely as
the tubing does in a pinch valve. This valve uses hydraulic or pneumatic
pilot pressure to open and close on an airfoil center coil, resulting in
less movement or flexing of the tube itself. Pilot pressure of 10 psi over
line pressure is all that is required for full valve closure. Lexair
Inc, 2025 Mercer Rd, Lexington, KY 40511. 606-255-5001.

Air diffuser. Based on the Tideflex Check Valve, the TF-A Air Diffuser Check Valve eliminates
backflow into the air manifold, and is not affected by settling sludge or
debris. This eliminates routine cleaning and maintenance, and allows the
blowers to be shut-down at will with no fear of plugging. The all-rubber
construction makes it an excellent choice for harsh environments. It features
a PVC or stainless steel 3/4-in. NPT threaded connection. Red Valve Company
