The PD model of the Monarch Spinner Ultra Precision turning center (like its SB sister) is available with bar capacities of 1.26´´ at 8000 rpm or 1.65´´ at 5000 rpm. It features cast iron 40 slant beds, rigid machine bases, hardened and ground box-type guideways, Heidenhain linear glass scales on all axes, and high-speed precision spindles with runouts less than 0.000 02´´. The BDC 3200X CNC, with its 32-bit VME bus architecture and multiple microprocessors, handles 100 five-axis blocks/sec on data-intensive part programs, the manufacturer reports. Available contour-optimization software operates in up to four axes and adjusts for modifications to the feed override.
