Thirty models

Thirty models of digital readouts are available. They can use linear transducers from 4创 to 98 ft and can handle encoders up to 90,000 pulses. Standard features of the NV DROs include from one to four axes, axis preset, a display-off mode, universal power supply, bolt-hole calculation, inch or metric, absolute or incremental, part centering, tool offsets, and resolutions of 0.001, 0.0005, 0.0002, 0.0001, and 0.000 05. DROs are available for OEMs, such as the NV 300E, used with PLCs, with six outputs and four inputs and the NV 300TS lathe DRO that controls the spindle speed on lathes. Magnetic scales

Sony digital readouts are suited for use on mills, lathes, grinders, EDM machines, boring mills, and other machines. The DROs are designed to be unaffected by harsh conditions in the shop. They use magnetic scales, which protect them from fluids, chips, and dust. There are no glass scales to chip, break, and become unreadable from coolants and oils. The readouts feature hold, recall, zero reset, data backup, self-diagnosis, preset capability, midpoint calculation, absolute/incremental, datum point memory, inch/metric, error check/fault alarm, linear error compensation, and delectable resolutions. The DROs are offered with a three-year warranty. Zimmerman-McDonald Machinery Inc, Bridgeton, MO.
