Gang tool lathe
The Conquest GT27 gang tool lathe is designed with JIT in mind. A 1 1/16创-bar-capacity-collet
spindle is featured with a 1 5/8创 "Big
Bore" spindle option. Pre-tooled top plates, each holding up to 10
tools, can be removed and interchanged within 0.0002创 in under
1 min. Rapid traverse rates of 472 ipm (X axis) and 630 ipm (Z axis) are
featured, along with absolute encoders and preset servodrive positioning

Digital measuring borescope
This digital-measuring-and-swing-prism system allows quick detection
and measurement of defects deep inside pockets. The system includes a 50-deg
field-of-view swing-prism borescope. The 20-deg field-of-view high-magnification
digital-measuring borescope is used to measure and inspect defects located
with the swing-prism scope. The system can be coupled with a TV monitor

insert geometry
A new double-sided roughing geometry for steel-turning applications is
part of the Sandvik Coromant P-Line of inserts. This doubled-side PR is
considered an alternative to the single-sided PR geometry for roughing,
providing twice the number of cutting edges at a lower cost per edge. The
geometry features strong cutting edges and an all-purpose chipbreaker that
covers a broad working area. The inserts provide a soft cutting action,
lower the tendency for burr-formation, and reduce the need for expensive

tube-cutoff lathe
The LNC Line of tube-cutoff and machining lathes allows the creation
of complete parts on a single lathe. The lathes handle heavy wall tube and
pipe from 1/4创 to 8创 OD
and solid round-bar stock up to 3 1/4创
dia. In addition, they can automatically load and unload, OD plunge form
and turn, OD chamfer, OD deburr, and ID chamfer or light ID form-cut one
end. The 30-hp constant-surface-footage spindle drive ensures maximum productivity
on short or long runs. (Forty hp is optional.) The rigid beam stock stop
rides along a sturdy 2 x 6 ground steel beam on precision linear bearings
using a crank-operated ballscrew. The length position is set with a digital
readout and locked into position by a selector switch-operated power clamp.

Plate fixturing system 
The Jigsaw plate fixturing system maximizes VMC productivity by optimizing
the use of vises, minimizing the center distances between vises and consequently
allowing for more parts on a production run. The plates rely on the Jergens
Ball Lock Mounting System to locate and lock the fixture plate to the subplate
with 0.0005创 repeatability. Jigsaw plates, it is reported,
can be changed in less than 1 min, without the need to re-indicate. The
plates are available for 4创 and 6创 vises. The
new Ball Lock Multi-Purpose Subplate, 20创 x 40创,
will adapt to most large machining centers to accommodate Ball Lock fixture

Abanaki Oil Grabber Model 4 is now available with fiber-reinforced plastic
belts that can handle temperatures up to 212 F. The model also features
wider, deeper troughs. The unit removes oil from water and water-based solutions
at a rate up to 20 gal/hr. It can be used in depths ranging from 1 ft to
100 ft or more. Depending on the liquid, this model can reduce oil content

EDM
Robofil 330F is a wire EDM system that can cut a 30-deg taper on 400mm-tall
workpieces--submerged. The system features X-Y-Z travels of 400mm x 300mm
x 400mm, plus U-V travels of 500mm x 400mm. Upper-head travel has been increased
on each axis by 50mm per side. That allows the workpiece to be positioned
very near the table limit of the primary X or Y axis, with full taper cutting,

Bugbox is designed to reduce and control bacterial levels in metalworking
coolants through the application of a proprietary alloy in a self-contained
housing. The system comes with a pump, mounting bracket, and feed-and-return
hoses. It is designed to mount on the side of a tool sump with the submersible

Drawer-storage system
Powerdrawer is a vertical-lift drawer-storage system that saves space.
For instance, a single Powerdrawer system (40 ft tall, 47 sq ft) can store
